Short title and commencement:
(1) This Order may be called the Solar Thermal Systems, Devices and Components (Quality Control) Order, 2024.
(2) It shall come into force on the expiry of one hundred and eighty days (6 months) from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

Manufacturers must ensure their products are tested and certified as per the guidelines of Bureau of Indian Standards. This not only helps maintain a uniform quality standard but also boosts consumer confidence in these products in the market.

Penalty for contravention: Any person who contravenes the provisions of this Order shall be punishable under the provisions of sub-section (3) of section 29 of the Bureau of Indian Standards Act, 2016 (11 of 2016).
