The Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers (Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals), has issued Quality Control Orders for H Acid, K Acid, or Vinyl Sulphone to make BIS ISI mark certification mandatory for:

• H Acid – IS 8637: 2020
• K Acid – IS 11557: 1986
• Vinyl Sulphone – IS 18340: 2023

The Quality Control Order was issued by the ministry after consulting the Bureau of Indian Standards on date 14th May, 2025.

Short title and commencement:
(1) This Order may be called the H Acid, K Acid, or Vinyl Sulphone (Quality Control) Amendment Order, 2025.
(2) This order shall come into force on the 13th day of August, 2025 for H Acid and Vinyl Sulphone and 13th day of May, 2026.
