Bureau of Indian Standards has made BIS ISI Mark Certification mandatory for Refined Nickel to ensure consistent quality and safety in its production and use as per IS 2782:2023.

Quality Control Order for Refined Nickel

MINISTRY OF MINES has recently issued a Quality Control Order to make BIS ISI Mark Certification mandatory for Refined Nickel as per IS 2782:2023, after consulting with the Bureau of Indian Standards to ensures that refined nickel meets standardized chemical and physical quality parameters as laid out by BIS. The certification is mandatory for all manufacturers and importers selling refined nickel in the Indian market.

Short title and commencement:
(1) This Order may be called the Refined Nickel (Quality Control) Order, 2025.
(2) This Order shall come into force with effect from 6 months from the date of publication of this notification.

After the date of implementation of Quality Control Order BIS ISI Mark Certification will be mandatory requirement for Refined Nickel as per IS 2782:2023.
